FoodBank

In conjunction with the Trussell Trust, St Joan of Arc participates in Food Bank collection and distribution for those in need in Farnham. Sister Simone P. Hanel is the Farnham Foodbank Warehouse Manager.

You can help in a number of ways:

1) Money can be donated on a regular or once off - basis cheques made payable to "Farnham Christian Community Trust" (indicate if gift aid can be applied, Post cheques to Farnham Food Bank, Farnham Christian Community Trust, 43a Downing St, Farnham, Surrey, GU9 7PH.

2) Food can be donated and left in the big plastic box on the left as you enter the church porch. Items requested include tins, long life milk, tea, sugar, biscuits, sponge pudding and chocolate. What not add a few items to your weekly shopping and leave them in the plastic box when you come to Mass.

3) A group of volunteers from St Joan's parish work at the Distribution Centre - Vineyard Centre, Church House, Union Road on Mondays and Fridays.

In 2015/16, The Trussell Trust’s Foodbank Network provided 1,109,309 three-day emergency food supplies and support to UK people in crisis. Of these, over 400,000 went to children.
